Trying to get maternity included Health insurance in Texas?
My wife and I are trying to have a child. But found out that my insurance doesn't cover the preg; are there any insurance plans in Texas that don't cost a arm and a leg and don't have you wait 10 to 12 months in order to start trying

- With all due respect, maternity should not be included. Insurance is mainly for unexpected diseases or injuries, not expected events such a preganancy. It would be like expecting auto insurance to provide for oil changes and maintenance.
- We have United Healthcare. It is pretty much accepted everywhere here. (in TEXAS) I dont know exactly how much we pay as my husband does the bills but I know the cost of out of pocket to have my 2 babies was minimal due to the cost of our insurance. Good Luck! Ok and to the Dumbass answer given my Joseph C...." Do you know how much it costs to have a baby these days?!" Get a life and a clue Joseph. If a doctor has to see you for ANY reason, it should be covered by insurance!!! Are you saying if someone gets pregnant unexpectedly, it should be covered?
