I live in California can I cover my domestic partner with my health insurance?

If so can you provide references to bring to my home office or HR Department they are located in Jersey and I think they have our laws confused with theres?

1. It's up to the company, as to whether or not they cover domestic partner benefits. I live in Florida, which is surprising very backwards when it comes to gay rights. Some companies here provide it, while other's don't. It's not a state regulated issue. The only thing you can do is to continue to suggest it to your benefits and/or HR deptartment, or look for a company that does provide it.
