The Conservatives Only Impede Social Progress. Social Security, Medicare, .Now in California Health Insurance

California next year will have mandatory imposed health insurance on every one. governor Schwarzenegger and legislators agreed. Every one including young and healthy individuals under the law will be required to buy health insurance and pay for it from their pocket. It does involve government money. It does not involve California state funding.

1. You call putting MORE people on the Federal expense account "progress"? That explains why Clinton thinks it's appropriate to call herself progressive....
2. I wold think that if a person had no access to healthcare.... obtaining health insurance would be considered progress
3. Social Security, Medicare, and Socialized medicine are not "progress". They are slavery and forms of a tyrannical government. Do you have the option of not participating? Nope, that is what makes it tyranny.
4. state level ok...not the federal level...you cannot keep giving when there are so many not putting anything back....
5. Government, with it's red tape and fraud, impedes itself. Look at the condition of Social Security and Medicare. The same problems will occur in California. And you and I pay for this mismanagement. Conservatives don't impede progress, they inject reality and common sense.
6. And just where is the extra $14 billion needed to pay for this going to come from? Cigarette taxes are not going to pay for it. The only thing left is additional taxes on health care providers - which will be passed on to the people who are already paying for their own health insurance. In effect this bill is going to force those of who are paying for our health insurance (I pay $110 a week for my family's) to also pay for other people's insurance.
7. How much "Social Progress" will have been made in the next 50 years when those programs have bankrupted the richest country in the world?
