Health care for a 57 year old woman?

My mother is 57 years old, she doesn't work...my dad is on Medicaid but she is not eligible since she's under 60, my dad's job doesn't offer health insurance, he tried and got her AARP medical insurance plan but it's useless since it's originally meant to be a supplemental plan.... Please help me where can I go to get her health care that's not a gazillion dollars a month?.......thank you

  1. Check in your city for "free healthcare" clinics...they help people in your mom's situation and others who do not have healthcare insurance or who cannot afford it. The other option is seek out a physician who accepts non-insured individuals and see if they will reduce the price because she is a cash paying patient. Most of the time they will let you make payments too.
  2. Look for free or low cost clinics. Most places have them. Also, your dad is probably on Medicare, which is the federal program for older people. Medicaid is the state program and people who work often aren't eligible.
