Why so republicans hate the Affordable Healthcare Act?

A think tank founded by GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich collected at least $37 million over the past eight years from major health-care companies and industry groups, offering special access to the former House speaker and other perks, according to records and interviews. The Center for Health Transformation, which opened in 2003, brought in dues of as much as $200,000 per year from insurers and other health-care firms, offering some of them “access to Newt Gingrich” and “direct Newt interaction,” according to promotional materials. The biggest funders, including firms such as AstraZeneca, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Novo Nordisk, were also eligible to receive discounts on “products and workshops” from other Gingrich groups. The health center advocated, among other things, requiring that “anyone who earns more than $50,000 a year must purchase health insurance or post a bond,” a type of insurance mandate that has since become anathema to conservatives. The group also pushed proposals to build centralized electronic medical records and use such data to research treatment effectiveness, both central features of President Obama’s health-care reforms. Gingrich has clashed with other Republican presidential candidates over his evolving positions on health-care issues. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, whose own state health-care reform plan was a model for Obama’s national approach, attacked Gingrich at one debate: “We got the idea of an individual mandate from you!” The Gingrich health center’s support for such a mandate was part of an “Insure All Americans” plan that appears to have disappeared from the center’s Web site Thursday. Haven't you, in fact, proven what the right has previously charged - that health insurance companies were in league with Obamacare authors? 10. The general solution to the healthcare crisis in this country could be stated thus: Legalize all drugs and voluntary medical transactions. It’s a simple, elegant solution that would be vastly cheaper and much more humane than the one we have, not to mention the fact that it would be consistent with the ideal of freedom that the establishment commentariat supposedly cherishes but always fights against.
11. I will answer y our first question but ignore the rant. This act does not make health care affordable. In fact, insurance premiums and health care costs have increased since it was passed. Second, it is not the government' job to provide health care to its citizens. Third, it is going to crush what is left of our economy. Fourth, it has hurt job creation. Fifth, it allows people to not get insurance and then demand once they are sick that health care companies cover them. Sixth, the mandate is an abuse of power and a very slipper slope. Because Obamacare is anything but affordable Fact # 1 ) Obamacare has already caused health insurance premiums to increase not decrease as Obama promised it would Fact # 2 ) By stealling 880 Million Dollars from Medicare to fund Obamacare, Obama has already caused Medicare to cut back greatly on & diminish the health benefits & services furnished despite the fact that Obama promised he would not steal money from Medicare & Medicare health benefits & services would not be diminished Fact # 3 ) Health care fees have already increased in anticipation of Obamacare despite the fact that Obama promised they would not Fact # 4 ) Increased redundant medical record keeping mandated by Obama has already caused Doctors to spend more time inputting redundant medical information on their computers & less actaul time treating & rendering care to patients Fact # 5 ) A serious shortage of Doctors is already starting to occur in anticipation of Obamacare in that enrollment in medical schools is down dramatically in anticipation of Obamacare + more Doctors are already retiring early or changing professions in anticpation of Obamacare Fact # 6 ) The 40 million more patients created by Obamacare will seek treatment from far fewer Doctors than we have now thereby creating a situation where no patients will be able to receive needed medical care in a timely fashion due to the vastly increased patient population seeking treatment by far fewer Doctors Fact # 7 ) Obamacare will not ' pay for itself ' as Obama promised it would & will cost more money despite the fact that Obama promised that it would " not coes one penny more "

15. Affordable? For Who? The per person Medicare insurance premium will increase from the present monthly fee of $96.40 , risingto: $104.20 in 2012 ; $120.20 in 2013 ; And $247.00 in 2014. (That is over a 100% increase!) Affordable? For who? Companies have received an abeyance because of the financial hardships it would impose. The companies receiving these were MacDonalds, Bank of America etc. Unions and public institutions were granted these also. It is affordable to illegal immigrants and non-working people. Don't you get tired of being lied to?
