whqt are the requirements to qualify for health insurance in california?

im thinking a good requirement is to be making good salary a year so in this case i dont think i should even bother to go apply right now im a student in college not working just doing some internet marketing but i got like 8k this year i just want to know what are the requirements

1. The only insurance you have to "qualify" for, is welfare insurance - medicare or medicaid. Otherwise, you can go buy it, just like you buy your car insurance.
2. The only requirement to be able to get health insurance in California is that you have to live in California. There are no other requirements. Anyone who lives in California can get health insurance there.
