Why do I keep getting selected at the airport for a full body scan?
I have flown 3 times since the full body scan machines were placed in airports. of those 3 times, I was "randomly" selected EVERY single time for a full body scan. I'm a young white male that is 6'6", 230 lbs, and short hair (not dyed any crazy color or anything). Was I just extremely unlucky or do I somehow fit the description of a dangerous person?

- Unlucky!
- You've only flown three times. That's not alot, so those three times were probably coincidences. Or, the airports you go to just do it more often.
- U probably just have that 'look' enough to make security suspicious of you. They don't really need a reason to pull you aside
- You're just unlucky.
- What are you wearing when you fly? If you wear baggy clothes, you're more likely to get pulled aside for addtional screening: http://www.ktvl.com/articles/airport-1197853-tsa-security.html Otherwise, either you're unlucky or fit some type of profile.
- You are born unlucky.
- It is probably just a coincidence. They probably had an incident unrelated to you recently and they wanted to just be sure.
- I have found that if its not that busy, they tend to bodyscan everyone. Additionally, I think they always want it running so they are always grabbing people. I think everyone should be scanned.
- Did you buy a ticket at the last minute? Did you make changes to your ticket at the last minute? Did you pay cash for your ticket? Any of those things can get you flagged for some additional screening.
