URGENT HELP!!! Medical Insurance ...?

URGENT HELP!!! Medical Insurance ...? Hi, my husband got the "lay off" letter from his company and now we dont have Medical Insurance. I am 6 weeks PREGNANT and cant afford to be left without insurance and we cant pay for COBRA since it represents over 800.00 monthly. How can I get medical attention? We live in Florida (Miami) and dont have a clue about getting health insurance with pregnancy or service without insurance ... any suggenstions? 10 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer

1. COBRA will be the cheapest way/ Obama's new plan gives a 65% credit for the cost. Being pregnant, no one but COBRA will cover you
2. You may look into Medicaid. This helps people on a financial needs basis, and they are definitely more likely to help you if you are pregnant. If you can't qualify, you can always go to a county hospital or a religious affiliated hospital- this way after the medical bills are incurred you can apply to have them dismissed on a personal needs charity basis.
