Are there any companies that sell Medical travel insurance for people that are not covered by the home country?

I'm Canadian and I will be away from home for about a year, so my GHIP (Canadian Medicare) will not cover me after 6 months. Are there companies that will provide me with full coverage?

1. Yes, most travel medical insurance companies do that. That's the point travel health insurance.
2. Although there ARE companies that WILL sell you long term travel insurance, you'll want to read the coverages VERY carefully. It's not going to be 100% full coverage for anything and everything, like you're used to in Canada.
