Is buying health insurance better through work and how?

I have arthritis and other things that require expensive medication. Now, I am buying health insurance on my own and never had a real permenent job with health benefits when I was sick. If I do go permenent, do you think it's likely that buying health insurance through my job is better? Will it be cheaper? Do you think it's better to be stable and stick to what I got right now?

  1. In general, group policies through an employer are more expensive than individual policies. However, many people perceive them to be less expensive because the employer usually picks up a percentage of the charge. Whether it will be cheaper for you will depend upon many factors, such as your age, state of residence, what is available in your state, what is available through the employer and how much they contribute.
  2. Medical Discount Plan ideal for those who cannot afford or qualify for traditional health insurance. The companies offer discounted health services for a quite low monthly fee. Benefits include a range of discounts for doctors, hospitals, dental, vision, prescriptions, vitamins, as well as other health services.
