Scan Medical Insurance

Is there some gov. influence/protections for insurance companies in the Ryan plan?

the thing that I can't wrap my head around is... what insurance company is going to insure old sick people? maybe the healthy ones for 15k (which would probably be more than we're spending on them now)... but what about the sick ones, as they are the ones that are the MAJOR PROBLEM now... will there still be major gov. restrictions on medical cost for insurers that cover the elderly to make some attempt at being cost effective?

  1. Right now, Medicare pays the health provider directly. Representative Ryan wants to stop that and give the money to the insurance industry. It's just another way to give American business tax money. Anything else you read, like saving the system, is just horse manure. The Republican Party is a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Business. It's reprehensible.
  2. Yes, by not being required to insure sick elderly people, Ryan is ensuring that the insurance companies will still have a high profit margin.
  3. The elderly will most likely be forced to seek out the few providers who will accept the type of ins they can afford.
