What insurance co. in Florida offers a health policy for a 9year cancer survivors.?
My wife's son had Hodgkins almost 9 years ago. He has had no problems in those 9 years and I want to make sure he has health insurance. He says he can not find anything, but I want to see if I can find something. Any help would be much appreciated.

- Unless every company offers him insurance, he can get coverage through the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan program run by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He should first apply to an insurance company, any health insurance company in Florida that would offer him coverage if he had not had cancer. If they offer him coverage, take that coverage. If they deny him coverage, because he previously had cancer, then he can get coverage through the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan program run by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Aside from living in a state where it is available (such as Florida), the requirements are: "•You must be a citizen or national of the United States or lawfully present in the United States. "•You must have been uninsured for at least the last six months before you apply. "•You must have a pre-existing condition or have been denied coverage because of your health condition." If he lives in Florida and is either "a citizen or national of the United States or lawfully present in the United States" then he can get this coverage as soon as he has been denied coverage because of his cancer history and has been uninsured for six months.
- His only option, would be either the Florida High Risk Insurance Pool, or group coerage through an employer. He's going to be uninsurable on private health insurance.
