I applied for health insurance through humana one... how long will it take to find out if I am accepted?

I need to buy insurance so I can actually figure out some medical issues that I can't take care of until I have insurance. Does anyone know how long it will take to find out if I am approved or declined?

1. Well, if you disclosed the undiagnosed medical issues, they're not going to approve you. Undiagnosed issues are pretty much an automatic decline. And if you didn't disclose them, if you lied on your application, you're going to get really mad when they figure it out. Oh, they'll figure it out and deny your claims and cancel your policy retroactively. If you were perfectly healthy, and not overweight, with no preexisting conditions, it's reasonable to expect it to take 2 - 3 weeks to process an application.
2. Insurance is for UNEXPECTED items. Insurance isn't designed to pick up your bills when you decide you want them taken care of. You need insurance in place BEFORE you have any symptoms. This is for the same reason you can't hit a deer with your car and then call State Farm and ask them to buy insurance so they can fix your fender. That being said...I have clients with Humana that found out within 20 minutes of applying that they were approved. But, even if you're approved, don't expect them to pay for existing issues.
