Is it really possible to use medical insurance for getting wisdom teeth removed?

i heard that you can use medical insurance for getting wisdom teeth removed and i have medical insurance but no dental inuurance and it would really help if i could use my medical insurance (its blue cross blue shield) for getting my wisdom teeth removed they are all still fully beneath the gums

1. It depends on how your wisdom teeth are positioned. Most medical insurances will cover full bony impacted wisdom tooth extraction, but not if they're already sticking out from the gums. You'd have to go to see an oral surgeon to see how the teeth are classified and then get an estimate from BCBS.
