Dental Insurance?????

I know this is kind of a specific question but I am wondering how long Guardian Dental Insurance takes to approve an application. My dad sent one in about two days ago and I am waiting on it to start my braces process and am just curious how long it will take to approve and then after approval how long until it will be able to be used. Thanks in advance.

1. Depends on upon the terms of the policy. Some go into effect immediately upon issuance. Others make you wait. And most have caps on coverage. You should wait until the policy is issued and read the terms carefully for the procedure you are going to undertake. Braces may not be covered in certain circumstances. Be sure to get any advance approvals required under the policy so you won't have any surprises when it comes time to pay.
2. 2 days? Relax. Maybe 2 weeks.
3. ~~Average time is at least 14 days and some take close to thirty (business days).~~
4. It will only take a week or so to be accepted, but most dental insurance does not cover braces for at least a year.
