For senior citizens in the U.S.: Would this news herein make up your minds?

1. Ask yourself why certain House Republicans would single out the AARP organization and totally ignore the many lobby groups that fatten Republican coffers...blatantly transparent and purely political. The AARP may have many flaws, but this is not one of them.
2. I knew before I even open that link that it was AARP...I quit them years ago and will never join again..and I hope people would wake up and see that this is a scam...=)
3. The AARP is not the only lobby that supported the health care bill. It is well known to be a rather Conservative organization that panders to the more wealthy senior citizen and since my membership is paid another 3 years I am not giving up the discounts right now.
4. I was and am now no longer a member of AARP.
5. It's nice to know that the Repugs are on the job as usual, making sure nobody (but them) makes any $$$ off the health care industry's opposition to the Health Care law. It's okay for them to collect from anti-health care law lobbyists, but nobody else should collect from pro-health care lobbyists. Glad we got that straight.
6. The Republicans have become a rather distressing bunch. Look at lot like Communist. They not only wish to investigate groups like AARP and PBS, but they want to silent them. Republicans fear one thing over all others, truth. AARP lobbies for seniors, elderly, retired and just plain ole old folks. Good for them. They were NOT the only group that lobbied for health care reform. Good they did.
7. I joined AARP for one year when I first became old enough. After about 4 issues of their magazine and other crap, I could see they were totally bogus. I've had nothing to do with them since. They offer nothing that I can't do better or get cheaper on my own. They are out for themselves period.
