Why Did All New Individual Children's Health Insurance Policies Suddenly Become Extinct?

Today, you cannot buy an individual health insurance policy on a child, because in the last six months, ALL carriers have discontinued the individual health insurance plan for children. They are extinct and DO NOT exist anymore. Is this what Obamacare was supposed to do? BTW, before any uninformed liberals call me a liar, give me the name of ANY health insurance carrier that offers individual major medical health insurance for a child. You won't find any because they all went EXTINCT. I thought Obama was going to fix all this? Mommanuke is too stupid to realize that some parents can't qualify for a family plan and depend on the individual plan. All my kids have one.

1. Obama's bullshit made it impossible for private insurance companies to afford such policies. It really is just that simple.
2. The Insurance Corporations assumed that without Americans.... they can sale insurance elsewhere = Africa
3. Thats why it should just be government run. Whats the point of letting the private sector sell people insurance that doesn't cover anything? If the free market can't figure out how to cover EVERYBODY for EVERYTHING at an affordable rate, then thanks but no thanks, we don't need their help.
4. Very few people buy health insurance separately for their children. The overwhelming majority of them are covered under their parents' policies. It probably became too small a profit to maintain the individual policies. I realize you would like to blame "Obamacare" for everything wrong with the insurance industry today. To do that, you have to ignore the last 70 years of their history, but that doesn't seem to bother people. Edit: Yeah, I am stupid. Please explain to me how a family would not qualify for a family plan? Would that be because the insurance company refused to insure one of the members, thus making them not a family? And then explain to me what part of "Obamacare" made them unwilling to insure the children, when they know that policies will be required for everyone after 2014.
5. Wouldn't you mostly have a child on the same policy as the mother or father? Why would anybody have a "single" policy for a child?
6. The company I work for lost insurance in 2010.......... luckily my kids are adults now.
7. He's right. I did a search for long term policies for a new born, 6 year old, and adult. There were plenty of adult options, but only a hand full of policies for children. All the children's policies were expensive and none lasted longer than 6 months. You cannot get long term individual coverage for a child.
