Over 65 what is best company for supplemental health insurance?
I real dislike AA RP for what the did to the senors on the new health car plan that is being rammed down our throats. Is there a comparable company that would compete with AARP

- HI Ralph, Well, I was going to say AARP straight away, until I read your whole question. Since that doesn't work for you, have you checked into Medicare? Only other thing I can think of off hand. Good luck and take care!
- There is no way anyone here can tell. Available plans will vary not only by state but can vary by zip code so whatever recommendations you get here may not even be available where you live. A Medicare Supplement is exactly the same from company to company, which means a Plan F with AARP is the same as with Blue Cross or Mutual of Omaha. The only difference is premium. Premiums will vary by location so the least expensive company in one state may be the most expensive in another state. AARP also has Medicare Advantage plans which will have even more differences depending on location. United Healthcare is the insurance company underwriting the AARP plans, and they are one of the better companies. I've had clients eat their feelings toward AARP because they can save the annual premium and then some each month in my state. Contact a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. The agent can tell you what is available and at what cost and can explain the different plans. There is no extra charge using an agent and you'll have someone local to ask questions of in the future.
- Hi, you can choose one between Medicaid and medicare health insurance. Here, I'm giving a weblink where you can search , compare and choose the company. A short description for those two programs: Medicaid is a program to provide various insurance coverages for low income citizens including families, children, elderly and the disabled.General coverages include: hospital services, physician services, lab and x-rays, home health care and dental for children. And, Medicare insurance is largest health insurance program. Medicare coverages include people age 65 and over, disabled persons under 65 and persons with permanent kidney failure. It has two parts: Part A, Hospital Insurance and Part B, Medical Insurance.
