Scan Medical Insurance

Which dental insurance would you choose from this list and why?

What would you pick? What do you think would be best for me? I am 18 Have medi-cal dental insurance Need cosmetic procedures done. Fillings and all porcelain crowns(teeth chipped had root canal). I am probably going to pay for the two that chipped out of pocket because i need it asap. But one of my molars just broke so I need medical insurance because I can't pay for all three procedures. Plus I am a full time college student. Health plans accepted include: * Aetna DPPO * Ameritas PPO * Cigna Dental PPO * Delta Dental PPO * Dental PPO * DentalGuard Preferred * Dental PPO * MetLife PDP * Advantage Plus PPO * Dental PPO If you have any other suggestions that would be great! Thanks I will be paying for the insurance by myself

  1. I have both Delta Dental and MetLife (I'm a college student on my biological father and my mom and dad's insurance, so i have 2) Personally, i think MetLife is better. I feel like the pay for/cover more. Of course anything is better than nothing, and your needs/wants may differ than mine. And I'm not an expert, I just know from observing the detail sheet thing that gets sent haha Sorry, I know I didn't help much...good luck with your decision! :)
  2. healthquotes.awardspace.info - my family have this health insurance. It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.
  3. Medical Discount Plan ideal for those who cannot afford or qualify for traditional health insurance. The companies offer discounted health services for a quite low monthly fee. Benefits include a range of discounts for doctors, hospitals, dental, vision, prescriptions, vitamins, as well as other health services. Individual & Family Health Plans This is a major health insurance plan for individuals and families. If you are looking for comprehensive long term health insurance coverage for yourself and/or your family members who are 62 years old or younger - this is the plan to choose. Short Term Medical Plans This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Maybe you have just graduated from college and are no longer covered under your student health insurance or you moved out on your own, and you're no longer covered under your parents' medical insurance plan. Or perhaps you're employed part-time, going to school, leaving home for the first time, or even retiring early. Maybe you've found a new job, but your new employer's group health insurance plan won't kick in until you've been with months. I would like to suggest to try to get as much information as you could before making up your mind, here    www.HealthInsuranceFree.info/dental.html    is a very resourceful one.
  4. Medi-Cal is not insurance. It is state subsididy program and covers dental only if you are under 18 or 21, I am not sure. Fillings and crowns are not cosmetic. They are necessary procedures. You need molar repairs, doesn't Medi-Cal cover those. Without Medi-Cal crowns cost $1000 at least. The insurance companies have many different plans each. You should call an independent insurance agent on the phone in your part of the state to sort through the muddle of plans and prices for comparison of benefits. All dental insurances have a waiting periods at least 6 months for serious work like crowns, and even longer for root canal. The best thing they offer is cleaning. These plans cover about 50% depending on which plan and what your premiums and deductible is. At your age it would be a better deal to go to a dentist directly and make payments every month for services, at a dental school for cheaper care, or a community health clinic which offers dental services.
