What is the best cheap dental insurance to have?

2. Actually I like the "Dental floss and Crest!" answer, but actual insurance would be Ameritas Dental Insurance. I own it personally. It costs a family of four about $1200/year for $4000 of benefit, but you also get discounts like a discount dental plan AND each family member gets a free eye exam, not to mention the 8 (2 each) free cleaning a year with no deductible. It's worth it, but is priced differently in different areas. In some areas it doesn't make sense and others it does. Remember to only floss the ones you want to keep....
3. That depends on what your needs are ... Cheap dental insurance is just that, cheap and rather worthless ... If you want it to pay for your kid's (or your own) orthodontics, you are likely going to see a lifetime cap on your benefits and you are definitely going to be waiting a year before they'll pay for any of those services,, Same for other dental services,, Dental insurance rarely covers major stuff right off the bat and limits apply to what they do,, .
