How much radiation is a human subjected to when TSA performs a full body scan using the newly deployed AIT?

Recently the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has rolled out a new body scanning device (ie. Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) scanners) to provide an added layer of passenger security when traveling via air. According to the TSA there are now 317 in use at 65 airports with a total of 450 to be deployed when finished across the USA.

  1. I'm not sure, but my dick glowed for a week.
  2. "The x-ray dose produced by backscatter systems is extremely low (less than 0.10 microsievert (10 microrem)). An airline passenger that has been screened receives an equivalent dose of radiation from less than two minutes of flight at altitude....In 17 minutes of ordinary living, a person receives more radiation from naturally occurring sources than from one scan." It's really not that much to worry about.
  3. Yep get use to it. Obama and Govn supports it because they never been groped by tsa. No has their Private school kids, while we are stuck in vile stupid public schools and TSA lines..... oh well
  4. I don't care! I'd rather have the body scan than have my plane go down, that's a sure way to die. The big debate on the body scan is stupid, invasion of privacy, etc., TSA sees so many bodies they don't care what you look like.
  5. Too much! I bet those scum bags get a hard on looking at the scans too! Especially the little boys and girls!
