Would you rather go through the airport x-ray body scan or get a pat-down?
I don't like the idea of strangers frisking me, but I don't like being exposed to unnecessary radiation, either. If it weren't for the radiation, I'd go for the body scan.

- X-ray
- Body scan.
- Body scan (i don't care)
- the pat-down i do not think that those x-ray things are good for you
- Body scanner, no way is someone going to grab me.
- My constitutional rights have been violated! I will drive from now on.
- Body scan. I like having a forum to showcase my junk, and the dosimetry suggests that the radiation is quite low. It would take even a frequent traveler a lot of trips to equal even a single dental X-Ray.
- I want fly, because of passenger hassle +there's no way to eliminate all the dangers of flying. I'm 64 going no where to go and in no hurry to get there.:)
- I would rather go through the body scan than be patted down. It's a minute amount of radiation compared to a stranger patting me down.
- You'd probably get more radiation on the flight itself (about 5 mrem for one cross-country flight). Body scan me baby!
- a pat-down
- airport x-ray, i dont want strangers touching me
- If it were an attractive female, I would willingly choose the pat-down.
- Because it's all about government control not putting and end to terrorism, I resent it. I don't like anyone to touch me not even my doctor. So frisking is out. I get PET/CT scans every few months and I don't want to subject my body to more rays because the government wants to control me. Also the scans are not seeing into your bones persay, it shows ALL your private parts, it's like being undressed. No one has a right to look upon your nakedness uninvited. I won't fly any more...period.
- My answer to this question the second time, "It depends upon how kinky I am at the time." These additional invasions of our privacy since Bush II was elected and he managed to inflame the animosities of terrorists for the Great American Satan is a source of a lot of concern for you, I, and our fellow men and women alike... And what is worse is our privacy is becoming like the dinosaurs and honest politicians--EXTINCT...
- It wouldn't matter to me. I've been through the worst of the worst. Get over your insecurities and just deal with it, I would say. It's not a big deal and security is job #1.
- Body scan. I've read that those things give you a *thousand* times less radiation than a simple chess X-ray! That's the amount you'll get in two minutes while flying in a plain at high altitude, anyway. "Peter Rez, a physics professor at Arizona State University in Tempe, did his own calculations and found the exposure to be about one-fiftieth to one-hundredth the amount of a standard chest X-ray. He calculated the risk of getting cancer from a single scan at about 1 in 30 million, "which puts it somewhat less than being killed by being struck by lightning in any one year," he told me."
- I don't have a choice. I have to get patted down because I'm in a wheelchair... Plus I have a metal rod in my leg.
- I will do whatever keeps me safe when flying. Pat down or scan.
