Near-constant joint pain in most joints. What could this be?
I've been seeing doctors(regular dr. and rheumatologist) about this for a long time but they haven't figured it out. Had blood tests, x-rays, full body bone scans, and still nothing. It started as occasional pain in one knee and one shoulder, and after a few years both knees, both shoulders, and both hips. My ankles and wrists have become somewhat weak also. I have a job where I have to stay in shape, so I stay in somewhat decent shape, but the more I work out, the worse my pain is, so it's becoming increasingly hard to keep up. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I have been tested for Lupus. Not sure about Fibromyalgia, but it sounds very possible. Also, No swelling or discoloration. Thanks for the responses folks. I really appreciate it.

- Have you been tested yet for Lupus or Fibromyalgia? If not, I would ask to be tested for these. Both can be related to joints.
- ask for a anti DNA test get the most painful joints Xrayed to R/0 arthritis continue to exercise , lift weight and do stretching yoga take Calcium/Magnesium/Vit D supplements take glucosamine chondroitin and MSM daily take nightly warm bath soaking in Epsom Salts rub Biofreeze on the joints
- Get a 2nd opinion from another rheumatologist or an orthopedic specialist in bones. Other things that can cause joint & muscle pain is Bursitis, Fibromyalgia, or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Google: mayo clinic>>diseases>> Bursitis >>Fibromyalgia Try some Aleve or Advil if you're not already on it. Good luck to you.
