I am self-employed in NJ, how much would a good health/dental/vision plan cost for myself 35/M?
And I'm not talking about them scam discount plans. I'm talking about the real deal ie. bluecross/blue shield. I'm healthy, non-smoker. I've heard about $700/month for a higher deductible and 80/20. THanks

- If you're not overweight, in NJ, and no preexisting conditions, you should be able to get a low/no deductible plan, 80-20, for a lot less than you're talking about - like $500 a month. For a $5000 deductible, you should be able to find coverage under $200 a month.
- Get someone else on the books at your business and get a group plan, if that is at all feasible. You are probably in the right balpark for a plan like the one you descibe, maybe a little higher than the actual cost. You seem to know about what you are speaking, you should probably call an agent at this time.
- Yes, take the above person's advice and get a group plan....so you can pay 2-3 times as much as you'd pay on your own {rolling eyes}. NJ is EXPENSIVE. Just find a broker that does business up there. I have a NJ license, but I don't even touch health insurance there. NJ....you can't buy sparklers, pump your own gas, and your health insurance costs a small fortune.
