  1. i'm not sure on this one.
  2. WhY?
  3. Safety of all passengers > your personal comfort Besides, I don't think there even are any full body scans in airports yet.
  4. No don't think you can reject it think it's something you have to do to be able to get on the plane.
  5. Yes, you will be able to choose at some airports.
  6. Yes, you can refuse the body scan and opt for a private pat down. Just realize, this could increase your time going through security by 30 minutes or more. If you miss your flight because of that, TSA isn't responsible for you missing your flight. This is of course if the airport has the body scanners in the first place.
  7. Only 30 U.S. airports have full body scanners at this point (or are scheduled to begin using them soon). But to answer your question, yes, you can decline to go through the body scanner, but in doing so you will have to go through a metal detector (you no longer have to if you agree to a full body scan) and submit to a physical pat down (a very THOROUGH one at that). In my opinion it would actually be more invasive and more of a hassle to have the pat down. Here is the TSA web page regarding the full body scanners: http://www.tsa.gov/approach/tech/imaging_technology.shtm
  8. Yes and I feel the same way.
  9. Yup, you can refuse and get a pat down instead
  10. It depends on the airport. A woman in London was denied boarding after she refused to go through the body scanner. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/travel/banned-muslim-woman-refuses-body-scan/story-e6frezhr-1225837094766
