Reason for Airport Full Body Scan's?
Now the media is spinning the demand that all airports be immediately equipped with Full body scanning machines. Now why is that? There are ample court cases that declare that citizen should not have any expectation of protection from a government. Why call for these devices now when only 3-5 years ago the liberals were (get this) declaring them to be violations of privacy especially woman's privacy (have you read the full disclosure of female medical records in the Health care bills?) Why these devices now: I could only think of these reasons: 1) Reid, Kerry, Pelosi, Dodd, and the Kennedy family hold vast amounts of controlling stock in companies that make these devices. 2) William Clinton needs a ready employment screening method to recruit young women to service as interns, agents, escorts, companions on his Wm F Clinton Library and Influence Peddling Company --- Saudi Princes are reported to like wholesome Midwest girls/women. His Library and Libido is in need of new stimulus. 3) Barny Frank, sensing that he may not be back in power next year --- needs to recruit workers for his male apartment cleaning service while he still and provide Congressional parking while the doors are being lubed. 4) The IRS is so worried that people will divert tangible assets out of the country due to the trillions of dollars overspending that they seek to tax or confiscate anything of value that appears on screen. Can the people of Y/A help identify the actual reason or proffer alternative ideas as to why this and why now?

- They want to see your boobs.
- Abu Gharib redux for Neocons.
- Because they want you to know that they can f*** with you any time they want, as long as you'll put up with it.
- Why do you care? Got something to hide?
- BECAUSE WE WANT TO PROVE TO THE WORLD THAT ANN COULTER IS A MAN
- Well it's not invasive, that's the thing. It's legal in technicality. The reason is because bad men bring bad stuff and try to do bad things.
- because theyre worried about the masses freaking out while the government does nothing (because if someone really wants to attack, its gonna happen).so they put up these huge machines that people can see so they would have a false sense of security.
- Let me remind you of something young one... Christmas day underwear bomber... Isn't this the first time this has happened? Explosives in the crotch?
- I think it is to keep people from sneaking bombs in their underwear on to planes.
- 5. All the above. Chances are the liberals had to eat crow and admit in private they were (choke choke) ,"wrong".
- I don't agree with any of the reasons you provided so far. I will look into what members of Congress do hold equity in the Carlyle group however as this fund is the main investor for the company that will get the contract to produce and install these machines. I find these machines to be a violation of my right to privacy. I find them to be disgusting and potentially to be the cause of many lawsuits regarding children and the fact it would display their nude image on a screen to a potential pedophile. What is to stop a pedophile from getting a job with TSA and being in the position to view these images as they scroll across his screen and enjoy it so much that he devises a program to hack the system and store the images on a flash drive to take home with him? The reason for these scanners is to further erode the civil liberties of our citizens in the name of keeping us safe from terrorists. If it's to keep us safe after all most people will accept most any personal invasion.
- I think you covered it great, could not have said it better myself. GREAT JOB.
- It is invasive but not as invasive as being on an airliner that is blown up by someone like the Christmas underwear bomber.
