Is a full body bone scan like a gallium scan?

I have low counts and copper and iron levels. Anyway i have history of osteomylitis and it showed up on gallium scan before so i was confused when my doctor ordered a bone scan?

1. Gallium scans are rarely used anymore and have been replaced by PET. Bone scans are better at viewing bones specifically.
