Is a full body scan before boarding a aircraft a invasion of privacy--yes or no --Why?

- It's a SCAN. So it's not an invasive procedure, NO. And it makes us all safer.
- No not in these times we live...sadly.
- I don't think so, the next time I fly I'll be praying that the person sitting next to me went through one and I won't have to worry about what's in his/her crotch I'd much rather land the old fashion way, rather than like bird crap from the sky
- Ever read the book, or seen the movie "Strip Tease"? One of the characters, Shad, a bouncer at a strip club; complains that he's seen so much, it does not even turn him on anymore.I think the TSA people are going to feel the same way. I honestly don't care anymore!!
- It might be an invasion of ones privacy, but these days I don't really care: I just want to arrive at my destination safely.
- No. Not if you're hiding bombs in your underwear.
- No, we need to make use of this technology as soon as possible, and what happened in Detroit just makes it that much more necessary. There has to be a way to make it work without bothering people.
- No it's not. No one is invading anyone's privacy. You know about the scans taking place before you buy your tickets. You are voluntarily subjecting yourself to the procedure. If you don't want to be scanned and you think it's invading your privacy, don't fly. There are other ways to travel (granted none are as expedient) so you do not have to be scanned if you don't want to.
- Absolutely...ever see anybody forced through.....got a ticket and want to enter a secured area...your choice to submit....
