Scan Medical Insurance

Do I have the right to refuse a full-body scan at the airport?

I have avoided radiation in every form because 7 people in my family have died terrible deaths over the years due to cancers. Our doctor recommended to all of us to live prudently in diet, avoidance of X-rays and excess sunshine. Are the new airport scanners a threat to those in my position? (Cancer-prone family history)

  1. I would not plan on flying anywhere then. If you refuse the scan then you will not be getting on the plane. Good luck.
  2. Yes, as long as you are open to a more thorough search by hand.
  3. Yes, you have the right to refuse it by turning around and leaving the airport.
  4. Yes, but neither do they have to allow you to board.
  5. You have a right NOT to fly on airplanes. You do realize that just flying emits radiation into your body, right?
  6. yea and they would have the right to refuse you past the security check points
  7. You can refuse as long as you weren't planning on flying.
