What is wrong with the Republicans not supporting health care, thought they were big business?

Insurance guys are going to make a mint, even AARP could sell billions. You got the 12 million on Advantage program, that are on fixed incomes, getting kicked off. The drug guys sell $100 billion in drugs a year and will give up $10 billion up front, why, because they will have tens of millions of new customers that are on government insurance ant they can sell the expensive drugs. they will also sell the 3rd world $4 a holler drugs. They are also spending $120 in commercial time to promote this thing. The health care guys have donated $500 million in 2008 to the HOuse and Senate members and expect to make out great. Granted the lobbyists and corps donated $3.2 billion in 2008 and will donate that much plus a cost of living 105 Raise this year. So why are the Republicans against this as all the above will make some serious money and they are big business? *opensecrets.org Hey look at the site opensecrets.org and you will see what they have been donating. Even the law firms and attorneys donated $233 million last year. If you don't think they are going to rack up then you don't understand the system. Go back and look at the 2003 Medicare Prescription Drug bill. For an extra $50 million the insurance companies got out of an annual $100 billion obligation. Funny thing about that deal is the CBO stated the ten year cost would be $500 billion voer a ten year period, but after signing it they came back adn revised the number to $1.04 trillion. That's being off 100%! For those of you that don't undestand this go to the site and just put in an industry and you will see how much they pay or donate. The medical facilities are looking for anyone legal or illegal to be paid for.

1. Yes they wil, as long as "the public option" is not an option. And what Insurance companies do in public to polish their marketing image, and what they do behind closed doors are two entirely different poodles.

3. Apparently, the GOP cares more about partisan politics (hoping the president will fail in his policy agenda) and regaining power than they care about any other issue at the moment.

5. Great question! Another good question is why are Democrats supporting it with all of these things being true. Rent seeking is a regular part of the game in Washington.

7. The only people who will make money are O's buddies. The rest will lose everything after the Government takes only. Remember, it was O's stated purpose is a single payer (2004). Why are Republicans against losing liberty and Democrats aren't, that's my question.
