Do you want denied insurance coverage for being a donor or do you want a public option?

http://bulletin.aarp.org/yourhealth/policy/articles/organ_donors_run_risk_of_being_denied_health_insurance.html We just gave AIG 80 billion dollars and your saying the government can't manage programs?

Public Comments

  1. Our government is not capable of managing social programs. It is too corrupt to trust with things like this. A public option is a horrible idea. BTW: AARP is one of the bigger lobbies for a public option. You may want to use a less biased source for reference.
  2. Definitely a public option. I don't care who lobbies for it, but we need it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_compared#Cross-country_comparisons The comparison of US and other countries for life expectancy, costs, and mortality speaks for itself.
  3. There are more options than just the two you listed! It's a false choice. And yes, the government CAN'T manage programs. All they do is SPEND MONEY. AIG is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of that!
  4. If you actually read the AARP article instead of just reading the attention-grabbing headline, you would have seen that it says that "Legislation is working its way through Congress that would eliminate exclusions for preexisting conditions for both group and individual policies." Once that legislation passes, private insurance companies will not be allowed to deny anyone coverage because of being an organ donor.
