Scan Medical Insurance

What happens during a full body scan at a dermatologist?

What do they look at? What do they look for? How much privacy is there? Is it just one doctor that does it? Does anyone know from experience? Thanks that's a really great answer. Does anyone else have anything to add?

  1. At my derm, there's generally the doctor and an assistant who jots down notes in the room. You've got to put on a gown, and the doc will check pretty much everything.. The doc will check your scalp, face, body, toes, etc.. even the bottom of your feet-- for suspect moles or lesions.. It only lasts a couple minutes, and generally the doc will just move the gown as necessary.. you're not really fully naked for longer than a couple of seconds... It's definitely a good idea to go..worth a couple minutes discomfort to know you are safe and healthy.
