Accidentally paid for something my insurance covered!?
I, so far, spent about 600 dollars on dental restoration procedures...I found out today that my insurance (Aetna DMO plan in NJ) covered for all of that. Is there a way I can somehow get that 600 dollars back? Please help! Also, do I need to show them the receipt for the fees I paid?

- Contact your insurance agent and file a claim.
- Phone them and fax them the invoices... they should pay you the money back minus the deductible if there is one. Good Luck :-)
- Of course you can get it back. If Aetna already paid the dentist, then ask the dentist for a refund. If Aetna hasn't paid anything, then file a claim with Aetna and instruct Aetna to pay you directly.
- let the office manager know and she can bill the insurance company and they she can write you a check after the insurance pays
- So, you paid the dentist and so did your insurance. Correct? Then contact your dentist and ask for a refund of the overpayment. There is no need to contact your insurance company. Any refund is going to come from the dentist, who has been overpaid.
