will my CA unemployment be cut if I start social security - I cant afford rent and medical insurance on one?

I can not afford my Cobra health care and basic necessities on either one alone. I have multiple pre exsisting health issues.

1. Your unemployment is based on how much money you make. So yes they will cut you off. If your SS is low enough you can get medical coverage through the state.
2. If you get SSI then you will not be eligible for Unemployment. You can apply for Medi-Cal even without SSI. Call 211 and ask.
