Scan Medical Insurance

I was told by the dentist at my screening for braces that I needed jaw surgery done.?

I made another appointment elsewhere and the dentist there said the same thing. He explained to me about problems it gives, and I answered yes to some of them. Well, I have anthem blue cross medical insurance. Can anyone tell me if this insurance will cover it. The braces I know already has to come from my own pocket.

1. The best bet is to call the insurance company and ask them if they will pay for it. Most will pay for it. Now if it was something you wanted and not for medical reasons it would come out of your pocket. Correct me if I'm wrong.
