how to deal with insurance company?

My health insurance (HUMANA),trying to get away from paying my medical bill.What happen was I had my employment base insurance (HUMANA PPO COFINITY) terminated on june 30,then I continue with HUMANA INDIVIDUAL only for one month (july 1 - july 30).Now they file my old claim to my insurance so then they will not responsible for it.All those claims are legit.I tried to talk to them,even I ask the service provider to fax the claim directly to them,but they still refuse to pay.If there is anybody who know how to deal with this insurance company,I would relly appreciate your advice.

1. Contact the office of the insurance commissioner in your state.
2. You're not really saying why they aren't paying. If you were eligible during that time, and the claims were filed timely based on their contract, and its eligible services, they should cover it
3. You need to clarify more details. did you go to the doctor say june 10 and they billed your employment based insurance for that bill? if so that would be correct since they bill the insurance company you had on the date of service. but say they billed the 1 month individual policy you had for the date of service of june 10, they they wont pay, since your policy was not in effect for that visit. these are only guesses.
