Where to get Equine Insurance?

I have a new horse - 8yr old gelding, quarter horse. I live in CA and I am looking for a good equine insurance company for mortality and major medical, I want to insure him for $5000 and I am looking for major medical for about $8000 coverage. Thank you!!!!

1. The best thing to do is ask someone at a few local stables or pop into your local horse equiopment shop. Buy a few magazines usually they will have some insurance advertisements in there or you could search it on google or yahoo or something. Just try and get the best deals you can really. 2. You can google equine insurance or bloodstock insurance, but a couple of the big names are Great American and Broadstone. You can check them out and get quotes.
