what causes abnormal bone growth?

on a ct scan of the head it showed that one side of my sinus cavity didnt grow-but was solid bone instead. my father just had a ct scan and it showed the same thing. i have several siblings and half siblings-all biologically from my father and they all have abnormal bone growth in different areas too. heres what we know so far: me (27) and dad (62)- extra bone in sinus cavity me and full brother(25)- extra bone in skull me and half sister (36)- one leg longer than other ( 1") half brother (15)and half sister (36)- extra bone at base of spine half brother (15) and full brother 25)-scoliosis seems that each abnormality runs in different pairs of us. theres 7 kids and 4 have symptoms that made us discover this. the others havent had reason to check. ive read that agent orange did stuff with bones but is severe-ours is mild. what could cause this trait and mostly -what could make it affect each kid in a DIFFERENT AREA of the body?

  1. God, i think.
  2. that may be probably due to some abnormal gene that determines the growth of bones in the body and is being transfered from the father to all the children, and it may be a recessive trait and so it can effect only in double dose[if that particular genes are 2 in number]and so some of the children are being effected and the other children with a single dose aren't effected but they may act as carriers for the gene to the next generation
