Scan Medical Insurance

48hrs after a CT scan with contrast medium I have developed a body rash. How long can I expect this to last.?

The CT scan was looking for lymphomas as a couple of skin lesions removed from my arm recently may be cutaneous lymphomas or nothing more than pseudolymphomas. The rash developed four days ago and is still very prominent; although it is not so itchy now. Many thanks vhm

  1. You need to go to the doctor. Your rash has been there too long. You probably need Benadryl and a shot of steroids for the inflammation. Make sure you inform your doctor of your allergy to the contrast. The next reaction could be very serious.
  2. need to inform your physician at once. If you have to have another contrast exam, bad things could happen.
