Any tips for taking the Texas Life, Accident, Health Insurance Exam?

Any input at all, how I should be preparing, how long it takes to prepare and what online sources to study would be greatly appreciated and I'll choose a best answer.

  1. Well, study the materials. Take the practice test. If you can pass the practice test honestly, with 90%, you'll pass the real test. If you can't pass the practice test, you won't pass the real test. Online sources aren't going to be a good STUDY tool. You need the study materials from the state. If you run out of practice tests, though, you can get more here: http://www.insurance-schools.com/free_insurance_exam.asp
  2. Health insurance can be very tricky. Since I'm from Pennsylvania I'm not sure about Texas laws and regulations, so I suggest you visit a local health insurance agent. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Health-Insurance.html They will be able to help you.
  3. Get study materials from KAPLAN or any other reputable source. If you are familiar with insurance it should not take very long to get your license. If you are not at all familiar then definitely make sure you know the material before you sit for the exam.
