What is a good affordable health plan to get?
I am a single 25 year old healthy male. Are there any truly affordable health plans out there for me? And don't say that $300 a month is affordable, because its not. I don't need any major medical coverage. I haven't had insurance for 6 years and haven't been to the doctor in those six years. However, my eyesight isn't great, so vision coverage would be good. I also want dental coverage as well. Any suggestions? I forgot to mention that I live in Oregon.

- I think it's cheaper to pay cash, insurance is merely a coupon.
- ~~I don't know what state you live in which makes a huge difference. But what you want is a major medical plan. It would mainly cover you if you have a major illness requiring hospitalization. Not so much on doctors visits. You can also get dental privately also, but I'm not sure on the vision coverage. You would need to ask an agent. My son is 26, is on Blue Shield's Optimum, and he has a $4,000.00 deductible a year, and one free physical a year. His monthly premium is $52. So you really can't bet the premium cost. In your healthy situation, this would be great for you. If you live somewhere on the west coast email me and I can give you my agents name. She will set you up.~~
