If my Wife doesn't Have a SSN Can I put her on my work Medical Insurance, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO?

My wife and I have recently gotten married and are filling for the necessarry paperwork but she is pregnant and doesn't Have a Social Security Number but needs to see a Doctor can I put her on my Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Offered by my job without a SSN? Well she was born in the Dominican Republic and she came over and got pregnant so we just got married.

1. You should call the insurance company about it, tell them the story, they might understand.
2. Y does she not have a SSN was she not born in the USA?
3. Why doesn't she have a SSN? Religion? Immigrant? Call Blue Cross and see, but it may be hard if she is not an American citizen.
