McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax. OBAMA 28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.) DIVIDEND TAX MCCAIN 15% (no change) OBAMA 39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.') - Nicely done. I wasnt aware of the real estate capital gains tax by BO. Scary stuff.
- Thank you!!!!! This is probably the best "question" ever asked on here!
- This is fantastic. I didn't even know Obama had made his stance on issues known. I thought it was all hope and change. ;)
- the only sensible choice is McCain. Obama's "change" campaign is losing steam. This is typical that when people get past the personalitlies and start to focus on the issues someone so extremely liberal as Obama is going to lose. People do want change, they just don't want socialism
- Obama is my guy... A few corrections though.... Voted to give Social Security benefits to illegals (McCain) No (Obama) Yes Fact Check: McCain supports relaxing the restrictions barring legal immigrants from using social programs such as food stamp, health care and housing. Supports homosexual marriage (McCain) No (Obama) Yes Fact Check: Both Obama and McCain believes that the same-sex marriage issue should be decided by individual states. Supports gun ownership rights (McCain) Yes (Obama) No Fact Check: Obama has a history of supporting gun control. Obama addressed the June 2008 Supreme Court decision striking down the District of Columbia's gun ban by saying, “I have always believed that the Second Amendment protects the right of individuals to bear arms, but I also identify with the need for crime-ravaged communities to save their children from the violence that plagues our streets through common-sense, effective safety measures. The Supreme Court has now endorsed that view, and while it ruled that the D.C. gun ban went too far, Justice Scalia himself acknowledged that this right is not absolute and subject to reasonable regulations enacted by local communities to keep their streets safe.”
- My issue is Obama admitting today that he is a Muslim. Why is it other Muslims understand Obama's faith? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2737QUBxFY
- I think that I used to really like McCain and I used to think that he was a true "maverick" in that he was clearly a moderate who was wiling to go with what he believed in and not always toe the party line. Over the last eight years, it seems as though that has changed. It's entirely possible that he's looking at this from the perspective that he can't get anything done if he can't get elected to office in the first place and is doing what he has to do but if that is the case it kind of gives lie to his statements about a willingness to go against his party. They both have questionable policies that are really up to individual interpretation. It's really tough to make a decision but the addition of Sarah Palin makes things much more clear than they were previously.
- The issues are the important part unfortunately obama supporters don't seem to pay any attention to them or they couldn't support him unless they are just idiots I agree with McCain on every one of them the offshore drilling is necessary for energy independence and it's hard enough to live right now as it is it will be impossible to survive with obama's tax increases and what really hacks me off is obama doesn't support the second ammendment this is a huge issue with me as a hunter and shooting enthusiast I own lots of guns and have never hurt anyone but he thinks taking them away will help society and he is opposed to concealed carry when it is shown that issuing CHL's and CCW's actually lowers crime statistics obama is way too liberal another concern is the inheritance tax I don't want to lose my family land that we have had since 1873 to obama's inheritance tax he just wants to bleed us dry and none of it will help the economy or the deficite
- wow i am impressed you really did you research! I wish i could give you points for asking such an articulate answer. you left out education http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/19ce50b5-daa8-4795-b92d-92bd0d985bca.htm http://www.barackobama.com/issues/education/
- This "question" originates in a false e-mail that's been circulating for a couple months now. The Snopes.com entry debunking it can be found at:
- YOU WANT TO DIE,, AND HAVE THE WORLD HATE AMERICAN,, THEN MCCAIN IS YOUR GUY.. HE IS A OLD TRIGGER HAPPY FUCK
