- Prices for braces vary from different offices. Going to a specialist usually cost more versus going to a general dentist who has training in orthodontics. alot of offices offer free consultation at which time they can determine how much it would cost. Invisalign (clear aligners) is usually more expensive than metal braces. price may be cheaper if your an express case versus a full case. An express or simple case take less time to correct and is for individuals who has minor crowding or spacing. Braces can range from 1500-5500 depending upon clear or metal braces, simple or full case.
- Most insurances dont cover braces. and the one that do have restrictions and waiting periods, and have a high premium. you may want to shop around and try one of the payments plans that provide zero interest. if you can pay of the debt in less than a year no interest is charged. You can also save the money you would have spent on the insurance and save it to use for your braces. Insurances that offer braces are for profit organizations and they would not offer braces if its ging tobe at a loss for them,, they figured out how to get their money back and more.
- when I got my braces, I only paid $2000 for them because of this great plan I have. They originally qouted me $4500. I would stongly encourage you to visit this site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up over 5 years ago when I was in college, and they have saved me thousands since. From deep cleanings, xrays, fillings..etc. all services are included in this very affordable plan. Orthodontist and cosmetic surgery are also included. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use them the very same day. Good luck and hope this helps...
