Scan Medical Insurance

A question concerning health coverage, Please?

I am moving to another state and will lose my health coverage. I am currently being treated for an enlarged prostate (no cancer) and am on two medications. I know that this will be a preexisting condition when I apply for insurance but will the fact that I am on an ongoing treatment disqualify me from obtaining insurance? AARP told me that since I was on medications I would not be eligible for their plans. Is this generally true of all plans? Thank You

  1. I recently switched to a new plan with my new employer and they TRIED to deny one of my first claims due to PRE-EXISTING ASTHMA diagnosis. It was a bit of a pain to get documentation to send them, but as long as you were not being seen for your condition during a LAPSE in insurance coverage I think you should be fine. If they do try to fight a future claim, fight back, don't just accept it. Good luck!
