Should vision and dental coverage be part of any universal health care plan considered by Congress?

Public Comments

  1. Sure, why not? It's a rotten idea, so they might as well throw everything in so we go bankrupt faster. Then maybe we'll have sanity again in government.
  2. yes and viagra, birth control pills, gastric bypass, breast implant, all plastic surgery.... SOCIALIZED MEDICINE DOESN'T WORK! Go to Canada and see for yourself!
  3. I don't know whether they should be, but I'm pretty sure they will be. People get so used to getting somebody else to pay the bill, even if they do pay for it in other ways.
  4. Sure. Maybe they should cover a house and a car too! If health care is a right than so is housing and transportation. Maybe universal internet too. Or food at least. Maybe the government should pay for everything.
  5. Sure. Why not add gender reassignment too. Or better yet, brain transplants.
  6. Heck, let's toss in sex changes. Let's cover everything for every slacker on the planet - of course the hard working dogs of this country will simply drop dead at work while the others are getting their boobs lifted. Socialized medicine is a poor-quality joke.
  7. I don't care what they do, as long as they give me the option to not participate. This means not 1 penny of my tax dollars fund it, and I don't get 1 penny of services from it. Of course, if they did that, then nobody with a brain or money would participate, so it would have no funding. That's why they want it to be "universal", so they can put a gun in my face and force people like me to participate. By the way, for all you supporters of universal health care, look up the definition of tyrrany and slavery in the dictionary and you will see that UHC fits the definition exactly. 1776 - "Give me liberty, or give me death!" 2008 - "Please put a gun in my face and force me to participate in social security and universal health care!" 200 short years from liberty to slavery.
