How can I get Dental Insurance outside of my work?

I have a small chip in one of my teeth that needs to be filled, but I do not have dental insurance. Is there anyway that I can sign up for just dental insurance, get my tooth fixed and then cancel the policy.

  1. it's pre-existing, even if you buy health insurance with dental it WILL NOT likely cover it insurance is designed that way so people don't try to take advantage of it, you took a risk and lost, you have to now pay out of pocket, that's how things work only work policies allow for pre-existing conditions
  2. If you get insurance the premium would be hefty, and then you would still have to pay 20% of the fee, that is if it is just a filling. Depending on how much of the tooth is broken off, then you might end up with a crown and crowns may have a waiting period, and if they do pay for it the co pay would still be 50%. Instead of doing that you could just use a discount plan, the one at www.mybenefitsplus.com/nicolec you could get dental for only $14.95 and save $ on the treatment, and save 20-80% .
  3. Hey, I know a dental plan that is on;y14.96 a month for a single person. You dont have to stay on the plan for any amount of time, It does reqoire a 20 dollar aplication fee and the 14.95 to get started so I domt know It may not cost much money to get your tooth fixed,Check out the web site under dentist and find a provider in your area, and then the fee schedule to see the savings you would get, You can enroll your self omline or call the represenative. Best of luck Amber
