My daughter needs braces?

If I have dental insurance on my daughter and so does my ex. Will both insurance companies pay the amounts? My BC/BS insurance pays 50% and his CIGNA also pays 50%. Can someone explain to me if they both can be used towards the cost of the braces?

1. I dont see why not. They will bill one insurance and then bill what the other does not pay.
2. well when i went in for my consultation we had two insurances but they said that we couldn't because of some dumb reason..they said that they used to let you double cover something but now they don't
3. It would be best if you speak with the dental office directly and ask them what their policy on this is. Most often it's up to the provider to decide whether or not they will allow both to be used or not. Hopefully it will work out for you!
