Can you buy more than one dental insurance plan and will they all pay for dental work done.?
Are there any plans that will pay for implants that are there to hold your lower and upper dentures. I have gum desease and will need all my teeth taken out sometimes in the near future. I have cigna that I have paid their premium for the last 10 years and never used them ouce but they only pay a maximum of 1500.00 per year and I know that is only a fraction of what it will cost.-----Thank you for any answers.

- Even if you pay for another plan it will pay up to the 1500. So you still are out of pocket a few thousand.
- Typically dental plans will pay only $1000 - $2000 per year in total benefits. If you get more than one plan, they are going to perform what's called "Co-ordination of Benefits". What that means is that your secondary carrier will not pay any of the monies paid by your primary carrier. You're better off getting an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) into which you can put pre-tax dollars and spend that money on your dental work.
- Even with the two insurances, you will not get that type of work covered in full. There just isn't enough money that they pay towards major work in order to get it covered at 100%, Even if you had a plan that paid 100% of that type of treatment, there still isn't enough money in the maximum to cover it in full.
