Scan Medical Insurance

I have been denied private medical insurance in CA; all I want is cheap EMERGENCY coverage; is it availible?

Blue Cross, Kaiser, they've all said no. I'm an exceptionally fit 29 year old male, but I had a condition in high school that could, theoretically, require surgery again someday. I'm willing to sign ANYTHING regarding what they won't cover, just as long as they cover emergency injuries. The only plan I've found is the Major Risk subsidized plan that would cost me over 300 a month, way over my budget. Are there any simple emergency-only plans left in CA?

  1. Nope, you have to leave the country to get decent affordable insurance. Sad huh?
  2. mine is 435 a month and it was take it or leave it. *** insurance is about unknown causes, not about expected costs for existing conditions. all we can guess from the limited description is that the insurance companies think there could be medical conditions related to your existing condition and they do not want that risk. you have approximately two choices 1. make more money. 2. change employers to some firm or government unit that covers everyone under a group policy.
  3. you have a problem that 45-55 million Americans have, a budget that can't handle health insurance. medical insurance and cheap just don't go together. sad as it may be insurance companies are in business not to insure health but to make a profit no exceptions and they don't take risks with the stockholders money. if you can get medical insurance for $300.00 a month jump on it, as far as coverage here that is CHEAP! I pray for any coverage in that price range. sorry about your situation and don't hold your breath waiting for a change the insurance companies have us by the bal** and they know it. what is really sad is the insurance companies work out contracts were they pay the medical providers less then you would pay if you paid the bill yourself, so you are screw** either way and the hospitals wonder why so many don't/can't pay their bills. the medical providers overcharge and jack up their rates to those who don't have insurance (and must pay out of pocket) and then the insurance companies jack up their rates to cover you and pay a discounted rate to the medical provider. the current administrations answer has been MSAs and high deductible insurance coverages so the insurance companies pay less often and the medical providers charge a higher rate due to it being paid by the individual, can you say threesome? republicans + insurance carriers + medical providers = your screw**
